SLV Trading Corporation ("SLVTC," "we," "us," or "our") provides chimney, hob, and cooking range repair, installation, cleaning, and maintenance services directly to customers through our website at slvtc.com and our booking channels (collectively, the "Platform"), and through technicians who deliver these services on our behalf (collectively, the "Services").

This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process and disclose personal data that you share with us when you access or use the Platform, book a Service or otherwise interact with SLVTC. Unless otherwise defined here, capitalized terms have the meaning given to them in our Terms & Conditions, and this Policy should be read together with those Terms.

By using the Platform or booking a Service, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy and consent to the processing described in it.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to anyone who visits the Platform, contacts SLVTC or books a Service referred to throughout as "you." We review and update this Policy periodically and we encourage you to check it from time to time.

If your personal data changes while you are in a relationship with us (for example, a new phone number or address), please let us know so our records stay accurate.

The Platform may occasionally link to third-party websites or services. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit through a link on our Platform.

2. Personal Data We Collect

• Contact Data: your name, home or service address, email address, and mobile number.
• Identity Data: your name and where relevant to a service (for example, verifying the appliance owner), photographs of the appliance and service location.
• Booking and Communication Data: details you provide when booking a service, service history, appliance brand and model information, messages or calls exchanged with our support team or technicians and any feedback, complaints or reviews you share with us.
• Technical Data: your IP address, browser type, device type and operating system, the pages you visit on our Platform and similar data collected automatically when you use our website.
• Transaction Data: details of the services you have booked or received and limited payment information (such as the last digits of a card or your UPI ID) provided to us by our payment processors for the purpose of tracking and confirming transactions. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or banking passwords these are handled directly by our payment gateway partners.
• Service Related Photographs: as described in our Terms & Conditions, our technicians may photograph your appliance before, during and after service for quality assurance, warranty verification and service records. We do not intentionally capture personal or confidential information unrelated to the service in these photographs.

If you choose not to provide personal data we need to deliver a service for example, your address or appliance details we may not be able to complete your booking.

3. How We Collect Personal Data

We collect personal data from you directly, such as when you book a service by phone, on our website or through a third-party platform, when you contact our customer support or when you leave feedback or a review.

We also collect data automatically through your use of our website, using standard web technologies described in Section 5 (Cookies) below.

Where relevant, we may also receive data about you from our technicians (for example, service notes and photographs taken during a visit) or from payment processors confirming that a transaction has taken place.

• Confirm your booking and schedule a technician visit.

• Process payments and issue receipts.
• Respond to warranty claims, complaints and support requests.
• Maintain service records for warranty verification purposes.
• Improve our services based on your feedback.
• Send you service related updates (for example, appointment confirmations or completion notices).
• With your consent, send you offers or promotional updates about SLVTC services.
• Comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from authorities and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties and we do not use it for any purpose beyond delivering and improving our Services and communicating with you about them, unless you have separately consented to that use.

We do not permit any third party to use your personal data for their own independent purposes.

7. Your Rights Over Your Personal Data

You have the right to:

• Access and correct your personal data. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccurate details, by emailing info@slvtc.com. We aim to respond within 7 working days.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time, by using the opt-out option in our messages or by emailing us directly. We may take up to 10 business days to process an opt-out request. Note that we may still contact you with service related communications (such as booking confirmations) even after you opt out of marketing.
• Request deletion of your personal data, subject to Section 8 below.

These rights are provided in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable Indian data protection law.

8. Deletion of Your Data

You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing info@slvtc.com. We aim to process such requests within 7 working days.

Please note that we are required by applicable law (including tax and consumer protection law) to retain certain transaction records for a minimum period even after a deletion request and such records will be retained only for as long as legally required.

9. Data Storage & Transfers

Your personal data is stored on servers located in India or with service providers that maintain appropriate security safeguards. If we ever need to store or process data outside India (for example, through a cloud or analytics provider), we will only do so in compliance with applicable Indian data protection law.
